"Congratulations." He offered, unsure as to why apple peeling would take up so much importance to the woman. But she seemed determined, and Hannibal liked that in people generally. Even if the task was small, seemingly insignificant, one should always take pride in what they were doing. And there was a bit of a smile at her apple rosette. That did take a good bit of skill, and while he didn't believe the woman was a gourmet, he was glad to see that she wasn't entirely incapable when it came to food.
Food was such an important thing in life.
"I am." He nodded. Hannibal looked over her shoulder at the figures that moved about on the periphery. She didn't seem to be very bothered by them. Which meant she'd either been a part of this for quite some time, or she was an incredibly accepting soul. He wondered which. "I would greatly appreciate any deeper knowledge you'd care to share with me. I have to find a way to break this to my companion, and the more information I collect, the easier that will be."
