Hannibal eyed the fruit sitting on the plate, and then the knife that she was using to peel it. He shook his head gently.
"No, but thank you for the offer." It was polite of her to do so, though he didn't imagine that he would ever accept such a thing. Especially not when it seemed that he could retrieve his own food just as easily.
He turned his head to look upon the vista that the window presented to him, and every other being that was able to see. It was a wonder, that was for sure. A sight that he had never imagined that he would see. Not without the aide of a telescope. There was not one point in his life that he had been given to wonder about what was in the stars. Yes, they were interesting, yes they provided knowledge and he enjoyed looking at them, but he had never wanted to be in them, soaring about like an astronaut. Of course, now that he was here, he had no complaints. He thought that Will, if he could get Will to the point of acceptance, would also enjoy the view. Vastness. Not-so-empty space.
"I'm admittedly a little bit lost." Hannibal said gently. "Not in the immediate sense of body, though clearly that as well. I've no idea how I got here, why it's happened, or where I am other than clearly aboard a ship of some kind. I arrived only recently with a companion. I finally convinced him to remain on the upper level. The sight of all of this would not be good for his state of mind."
