Seeing that the upper floor was entirely composed of doors that were identical to the one that led into his designated room, barring the elevator door which was structurally different, Hannibal did not waste time exploring the space where he left Will Graham, but went directly to the space he hadn't wanted Will to see.
He spent some time standing and watching, doing nothing more than that at all. There were plenty of things to gaze upon, the most interesting of which were the creatures that were obviously not humans. He was reluctant to call them aliens, as given the atmosphere, he and the others like him were clearly the alien beings in the situation.
There were a few faces that were at least outwardly human, and he watched them just as carefully. They were the ones that he and Will would most likely be dealing with the most, though they were not the ones who were in control. He doubted that anyone outside of their captors had any amount of decisionary power ultimately.
It was a woman sitting with apples that finally drew his attention away from the forest and had Hannibal looking toward the trees. He moved carefully in her direction, deciding that getting himself stabbed with a paring knife at this juncture would not be helpful in the least.
He stood beside the table, a comfortable distance from her chair, not wanting to spook her or give her any reason not to trust him.
