"It was not," Cas replied simply, the sarcasm lost on him. "But...I suppose there were some who found it enjoyable."
He enjoyed combat and the proper challenge was sometimes all he could accept in order to make it through the day. Or at least, that was how it once had been. His priorities had shifted some in the past year or so, but only slightly.
At the laugh, he tilted his head to the side, carefully considering the other man's statement. "I...feel I somewhat know what you mean. There were several children when Azazel was gathering an army for Lucifer, some of which could put thoughts into other people's heads. I never met any, but they were decidedly unpopular if the gospels are correct. As for you personally, my opinion thus far yields no negativity."
Morpheus was strange, perhaps. But then...most considered Cas himself to be. He took no offense at that, save for when those closest to him behaved as though he were.
