Annabelle considered Nanshe's words. She was very calming... Annabelle would have to look up more about her, if she could. Were all goddesses this calming? Weren't some warriors, or scary?
"It's not that I feel I let him down, it's that I feel like..." She sighed, grabbing strands of her dark hair and tucking them behind both of her ears. "... like it all could've been easier for him and for me if he'd been more forthcoming about it all."
Simon. When would she see him? Annabelle shook her head. "I really don't know. It was a few worlds ago that I first saw him. I didn't see him on the island, and I haven't yet seen him here. He's helpful but... Simon's not really that nice. You're both nicer."
