The dark eyes of the Sumerian slid beyond the human girl's shoulder and to the gray one far across the room. "My family is not here," she said. "None of them. I can always tell where they are, even when they're..." She paused, then amended, "... sleeping." Nanshe realized belatedly that she'd not asked Morpheus about his family.
She looked, a little sheepishly, at the god on the arm of her chair. She didn't verbalize the question, but a gentle lifting of her eyebrows was enough to do it for her.
