Morpheus stayed with Jo in her Dream Plane until she awoke. It was better than sitting up by himself while Nanshe rested, or running around the ship alone.
Once Jo was no longer in his charge, Dream left his room again, feeling much better. He spent some time thinking about what phrase you'd use for this: you can take the boy (god? Dream King?) out of the (world? City? Big Easy? Pantheon?), but you couldn't take the (dreams? Mischief?) out of the boy.
He realized he didn't know where Nanshe's room was, and rather than poke his nose into every room in the place, he headed for the common area. If she wasn't there, he'd focus his attention more and find her that way, but Morpheus hoped she was there.
And she was.
Morpheus didn't say anything as he came into the room, he just walked up to her and rested his hand on the back of her neck, rubbing the flesh there gently before letting go. He followed her gaze around the room, but he stopped on a human girl sitting not that far away.
The aliens were interesting, but Morpheus always related better to humans.
