Again, she didn't fight him, not because she agreed with leaving, but because she was supremely confident in her ability to find her way back. That threat had been designed to lead her straight to the closest parties responsible for her appearance here. But she couldn't block out Morpheus' words, either; he'd always been able to work his way under her skin, regardless of the situation. Her frame slowly thawed as they moved. When he stopped them and looked full into her face and promised in not so many words that he would work with her on this, she pulled back carefully. Her body language didn't suggest that she was leaving, but she needed a touch more distance than he was giving her, for this next bit.
"Don't play with me," she said softly, but her eyes hadn't lost any of their intensity. "I know I'm not the goddess that comes from your world. I'm a recreation -- still myself, still the goddess Nanshe... but not the only goddess Nanshe. If you were to go home now, it wouldn't be me who was in your apartment."
She put her hands behind her back, when they twitched to reach out to him.
"Are you sure..." Sure about her... sure about seeing this alien thing through... sure about being with her, in the way she was ready to offer... "Are you sure?"
