"Hey, yeah, it is!" Johnny grinned. He imagined that some place in Vegas would get a good deal of customers if they could figure out this technology. Put it in a hotel that was scifi themed. They'd never be empty, probably.
He grew serious again at the touch and mention of his heart. He wished she hadn't pulled her hand back after. The sensation on the scar was strange, but it helped him to realize that he was still here. And that he had actually gone through all of that. Johnny hoped that it didn't fade, so he could always know. He didn't want to forget that he could die, because it wasn't something one should let go of that easily.
"I am too." He nodded. "I don't like what it means in the long run, but the fact that I get to stand here and look at you and be sure that you're okay, that's so much better. It's a relief. And if the aliens were telling the truth, that everybody is going to stay right like they are now, well... I'd hate the idea of you having to go through that alone."
Johnny moved so that the line of his body was nearly touching hers.
