Johnny's lip was throbbing almost as soon as Jo's fist came into contact with it. She had a good arm on her, and he'd seen her fight before. He knew that she'd not put her all into it, and he was more than a little glad for that. His hand went to gingerly touch the skin, and snapped back quickly at the pain the contact created.
"I didn't!" He pulled his lip into his mouth and sucked on it a minute. "I mean I didn't sleep with Mary. I may have lied about some things, but only things that I thought would get me killed."
There was no way around it now, he knew, no reason to keep trying to cover it up.
"And it's not like I knew when we met. Some of this is fairly recent for me, as well. Maybe not that recent. But what was I supposed to say to you? Hm? So, it seems like I never die. How's your hamburger? Does that work for you?"
Johnny had expected Dean to be the one to do the hitting. "I'm sorry. I really am. I didn't know how to tell you, and I was literally afraid for my life about you knowing. You, Dean, Mary, all of you hunt things like me."
