"Ew." Evan made a face. "No. I would not have sex with wolves. Nor would I have sex with a person while I am a wolf. That's just wrong."
He kept in mind that she wanted tea, and that he was hungry. Whatever gift he'd had of finding things that needed to be found hadn't gone away at all with his transformation. It might have been stronger, even, but he might just think that because he was more aware of it. Paying more attention to it and what it might mean.
"If you saw the phoenix there, I don't know how much longer it's going to stay a secret." Evan narrowed his eyes. "Wait. Them?"
The last he'd known, there had been one. One little redheaded phoenix who looked like she was a lot of trouble.
"So you're not mad at Simon for doing this, are you? Whatever he's done, you're glad of it." It wasn't accusatory at all. He just wanted to know the facts. "If you feel more like yourself than you did before, and I have to admit you seem more comfortable with yourself now, then what he did wasn't a bad thing. Just maybe the way he went about it was."
