Jo did her best to suppress a shudder as Phaedra's eyes changed. She was just glad that the hostility wasn't directed her way. She made a silent vow to do her best to never be on the wrong end of that look, since she had a feeling that might be the last thing she'd ever do.
There were a few different aliens milling about and none of them resembled any of the others. Jo looked around and finally chose the nearest alien. A tall creature with graying skin and a prominent skeleton just under that skin that was very clearly inhuman.
She marched up to the alien, trying to keep her own temper in check.
"Do you really think that you'll be able to keep us for long?" she asked of the alien.
