Mary slipped under Johnny's shoulder and put an arm around his waist, hoping that he'd put his arm over her shoulders so she could help him walk. He didn't seem entirely steady on his feet and she would rather make sure he stayed upright. It was still a bit surreal to be able to touch him without it being part of an act and without feeling like she was pushing for something that was still decades away. The whole thing was a little bit surreal but she shoved that aside and started to walk. She called out to Anna who had just returned to the camp with supplies in hand.
"Can you let my mom know that we went for a walk?" Mary asked. For Anna's part, the redhead simply nodded and kept her face impassive. Mary didn't think much further on that and started to lead Johnny away from the little part of the island that they'd claimed as their own.
She hadn't missed the careful tone when Evan's name was repeated. She knew that the jealousy was there, though she appreciated that he was at least trying to keep it at bay.
She nodded in response to his last question.
"There's a second island. I'll show you. We can see the shoreline and can make out other people over there, but there are some pretty violent fish in between here and there. So far, it doesn't look like it's safe to swim or even take a raft over to the other island."
