"Max." Johnny nodded. "He's a good guy. I've known Max since Electric City. My Electric City." It was weird that there had to be a designation for that. That there was another city that wasn't his that everybody knew about now. It was strange enough that anybody here would even react to the name, let alone that they'd been there.
"He's aware of some things, but not all of them."
Johnny accepted Mary's help up, and stood for a moment just to get used to the feeling of being that upright. His body had a moment of vertigo, and wanted to lay back down. His head remained fine, though. So that was a start.
"Evan?" He tried to not allow the jealousy into his voice. Mary had chosen him, after all, had stayed by him for god knew how long. If Evan was here and she'd wanted to, she could have gone off to play and leave Jo to take care of her friend. But she'd stay. It might be too soon to stake a claim, but by god, Johnny was doing just that.
