His whole body reacted, let go of a tension that had been there since he'd figured out that she was missing. He knew that she was hurt, but it was clearly not an amount of damage that she wouldn't recover from. Likely there was something emotionally cracked inside, but that she could recover from, too, with the help of her friends and the people that loved her. He'd been more concerned over what might have been done with her body. The fact that she'd been kidnapped by another woman was something of a relief, because it meant that there was one area of torment that Mary likely hadn't had to endure.
Johnny's eyes took in what he was seeing. The bandages.
"Surprisingly okay." His tone would indicate just how surprised. "And disturbed. I don't know if I'm actually hungry, or I just know that I haven't eaten in a really long time. I am thirsty, though."
His mouth felt not just dry, but cottony.
"More importantly, how are you?" He also wanted to know what had happened after he'd been taken out of the game. But he thought maybe they could wait for that kind of stuff until later.
