"Yes. Carthage, Missouri," he explained. "During the end of days, it was one of Lucifer's temporary encampments. He aimed to raise Death there and he unfortunately succeeded. As for Dean and Jo, they never had the chance to begin a meaningful relationship. She was killed there. Partially because I'd managed to wander off and get myself captured."
While Jo's death had been a combination of several factors, it did little to quell Cas' personal guilt over the matter. Had he not left them, he would have been able to transport Jo and Ellen out of the town and to somewhere safe. Jo would have potentially even survived her wounds. But...he knew it was not something he could dwell on.
"Yes," he said of the other Castiel. "As I said before, we had next to nothing in common regarding our human existences. And I was a soldier. In terms of class, I suppose you could say Anna and I were both infantrymen, though she ranked above me."
Lifting his head, he regarded her with an unblinking head tilt, considering her question carefully. "I'm a hunter now," he said simply. "So I hunt. I was created for one purpose and I use the abilities I was given to survive. I feel that makes us all 'violent types.'"
