"Already gearing up?" Jack smirked. The question was possibly a tease, or it was in earnest. Jack could and would do that with any question. She had a few small rocks in her hands and what looked like vines and leaves. She'd come out looking for useful bits and pieces, remembering a few things she'd been taught long ago. Never be unprepared; it'd been one of the lessons her mother had taught her directly before leaving the educating to another.
"Mind?" Without waiting for an answer, she sat down not far from the fellow with the sharp pointy stick, doing well not to make comments about vampires and stakes. Instead, she crossed her legs and started working on a sling. "Shoe laces work better, but sometimes you want to save your laces for something a little more intricate."
She had no idea what that might be at the moment, but the vines she'd found were supple enough. Not poisonous as far as she could tell. She worked them carefully, watching the guy working on making his own weapon. Sometimes watching the ones with weapons was a better idea; the seemingly harmless ones were sometimes more dangerous, but she was going to find out about the one that was arming himself first.
