Mary buried her face in her mother's shoulder. She didn't care right now that Jo was the wrong age, or that she was only her future mom. For now, she clung to Jo for dear life. She closed her eyes when the final shot echoed through the room. It was done. It didn't feel 'over,' but it was.
After a moment, she opened her eyes and looked at the two men hovering over Johnny.
"Cas. I need to talk to Cas," she said, attempting to raise her voice enough to get the former angel's attention.
Johnny hadn't been breathing when he'd gone down, and she was pretty sure that his heart had stopped with that gunshot straight through the chest. It was important that Cas understand that he could come back from this. That he wasn't dead. Not anymore than usual. She had to make sure that he knew that they shouldn't do something foolish like bury Johnny or leave him for dead. He needed to get back to their apartment. They could recover together there. She didn't know how she'd keep the questions from her family at bay, but she would just have to find a way.
