Olivia was exploring. She needed to find a way home, and staying in her room hoping to be rescued wasn't going to work. She'd tried a few things to get to the other side, but none of them were working at the time. So, she went out looking for some thinness to this reality, which was somewhat amusing in a very offbeat way. Thinness to this reality seemed to be all over, right down to the movie stars on the money and the black/white color effect.
Unfortunately, she hadn't been given much in the way of clothes. They all seemed to be military uniforms, and she did actually report to a local recruiters' office to a few gaffaws and laughs. A look and a firm hand put the naysayers in their places. Even in the sensible shoes and skirt.
Having done her bit for her country, she got a little pay, and she decided to buy something that wasn't military issue. A simple dress and some not so sensible shoes. It wasn't cheap, but she was more than happy to spend her money on something she didn't exactly need. The government had covered everything, which felt odd. She'd begun to have doubts in the government, and at the moment, she was living rather decently off of it.
Coffee and a sandwich were her next target. She had her shopping bags in hand, and started to look for some place that would provide food and a moment to think. Or more focus.
