Max nodded to Johnny. It was true, that they were working on the usual assumption that serial killers were men, but that was not always the case. They weren't dealing with their norms in any way here; although, a dame pulling this sort of crime was a little different. Women could be lesbian whackados, but they weren't serial killer types.
"Yeah. That's what it looks like." For all his talking, the p.i. could be quite closed lipped. He gave Rob a good look with the next question. "No, can't say that I know him really. I'd say you should ask your connection about him instead. Mary. She might know more than I do."
It was true in a way. Max had known of the man before Johnny, and he had known of Johnny. They'd have some dealings with each other through the years, but Max had never been a close friend. He respected the lawyer and to some degree the vigilante.
