She had been too eager to do her job, and not a lot of talking had happened. Johnny tried. He honestly did. Attempted to get her to discuss what it was like to work in this place, then he figured he'd move on to the rest of it. But all she wanted to do was mount him like a pony. Finally, he'd had too much and shoved her a little too hard. She landed on the bed, but he'd turned right around and bumped into the dresser.

Max saved him, though. Telling him to take a hike was about the best advice that Johnny had ever heard in his life. He had no idea what the girl was going to say about him when he was gone, but he found he didn't really care.
He put on an angry face and left Max to do his magic. He went down the stairs, listening to Rob for a moment before going further. He wanted to know - for his own curiosity - if the kid was still talking about cows.
