Just a little air and possible murder? (Evan, Max)
Jack stood quietly to the side, feeling out of her element. She hadn't felt that way in a very long time, and yet it wasn't going to stop her from doing what she thought she had to do. It had taken some doing to get Kai to agree to letting her go on her own. The other woman knew Jack had been doing hunting on her own of and on her whole life. It simply was the way of things. Of course, this was a totally different time, completely crazy.
"Is that really real? All that blood?" Her voice took on the tone of a very curious and ridiculously clueless person all with the hint of fear, or what some thought of women in general. "I would have thought things like that only happened in horrible tales in those awful comic books." She had put on a simple dress, simplest she could find, and sensible shoes to look a part.
She had looked over the scene as much as she could before she got caught, saying she'd come out here to see the living animals that were now unfortunately dead. She'd even brought a small bag to show she had made a trip of it, so she hadn't heard the bad news. Not even a little. Whatever the reason, she got lucky in that they believed her enough not to send her on her pretty little way or keep her locked up out of the way.
In her bag, the hunter had a few tricks of the trade. It didn't matter how quiet things were, she would always have a few things prepared: holy water, rock salt, and quick made charms.
