'Hm. I'm sorry to have missed your city, then," Isaac said, grinning. If the city was any kind of reflection of the man (fairy, whatever), it was probably suave and strange, only looking familiar on the surface. The scientist in Isaac loved such situations and people.
At the notion that he would be able to see the 'true' face, Isaac sat up at attention, as was the mention of magic. Isaac didn't believe in magic. Well, not in his world, anyway. He'd heard that Thor's world used it, but that it was just a different type of world energy, harness-able by their science. The notion of seeing something so new himself... well.
He would have enjoyed the colors quite a bit, but seeing the ears and wings delighted him at the moment by themselves.
"Wow. And I thought it would be hard to top your face," he said, glancing around and noting that nobody had reacted. Simon's magic really was fascinating. The young man leaned forward, eyes bright, the biologist in him going crazy with want to explore the physiology of something new. He restrained for the most part, however, and leaned against one hand. "You have to let me look at your wings sometime. When we're somewhere where I've got some of my equipment on me. Or re-made."
It might have sounded better if he had bothered to explain himself as a scientist specializing in biology as well as electronics, but Isaac needed to be reminded that not everybody in the world knew him by sight, name, and personality. Especially when he wasn't in his own world.
