"I don't know what I am." He said honestly. "I'm not real sure what a revenant is, either, if I'm going to be honest. In the future I guess I'm more of a hunter, but right now I'm still just learning."
He winced a bit at Cas' mention of not asking for it. "I kind of did. Not... I mean, I didn't know this would happen, but I reverted from the state of death because I wasn't done."
Johnny rubbed his face with his hands, knowing how bad it sounded. He'd gone into things without really understanding what he was doing, and now he was whatever he was. And he didn't even know how to explain any of it.
"After I died, while I was a ghost, I was able to make contact with a few people. Some of it was their natural ability, and some was because I kept working at it until I made it happen. One of those people was a boy, Milo. He helped me to arrange my return. Found the person who could do it, got her the money... ah, jeeze. I've told all this to Mary, and somehow it sounds worse saying it to someone else. I don't know what she did. I was there when she did it, but I have no idea what exactly she did. There were words... I don't know if there was pre-prep or anything. My spirit, I... went back into my body. Wandered around for a while as a decayed mess."
Johnny found himself wishing that he had some kind of chair behind the bar. Sitting sounded like a really nice idea right now.
"There might be other reasons you feel death around me so much."
