Lucas picked up the drink and gestured a hand toward the chair. He didn't know if Mary was going to sit again. She'd been working prior to his entrance to the bar, he figured she would need to get back to it eventually.
He wanted to ask about the looks that he kept getting from the bartender, but in all honesty, Lucifer knew Envy when he tasted it. The jealousy rippled off of the man behind the bar in delicious waves. To rub salt in the wound, Lucifer smiled and lifted his glass in a silent toast to the man who had made the drink. And then turned his attention back to the woman at hand.
"It's doing a pretty splendid job." He admitted. "It's also doing much to dull the senses and make all of this easier to take. Are you so careful with all the newcomers to your life? Keeping details of yourself and your friends quiet while you learn all you can about the strange face?"
