Mary could agree with the assessment that the Electric City clone was meant to lull them all into a false sense of security, even if that was an unsettling thought. Then again, the whole damn thing was unsettling.
She smiled her appreciation at Johnny for understanding her need to find out more and being willing to work a little harder so she could do so. She was tempted to sneak in one more kiss on the cheek, but she reigned herself in. It was already a fine line that she was walking with the roles that they played for the public. Eventually they would find themselves somewhere else that it wasn't necessary to pretend to be a couple and if she wasn't careful, it was going to hurt losing all of the little touches and shared looks.
Hell, even if she was careful, it was still going to hurt.
"Thank you. I'll see what I can find out."
With that, she turned and headed back to the table, another drink in hand for the stranger. As much as she might want to have a drink right now, something told her that staying sober was the best thing at the moment.
Mary set the drink down and waited to be invited to sit again.
"That should whet your whistle," she said with a little smile at the old fashioned lingo. Getting in the habit of using it had been sort of fun, and it was even a little amusing now that she was a little more used to it.
