He'd done his best to not just stand behind the bar and watch Mary and the stranger talk. He'd also managed to keep himself from wandering over to the table. He had a job to do, and since Mary was busy trying to help a newcomer, he really had two jobs to do. He couldn't ignore the crowd and hope to retain the job. Harry was a nice guy, but he was a businessman as well.
"What have you learned about him?" Johnny asked, pulling out a fresh glass and finding the brandy type that she'd ordered earlier. He poured it out, filling it a bit more than he would have normally - again, the guy wasn't from here after all, much like themselves - and slide the glass across.
He'd never bartended before, but he had to admit that it was enjoyable. Busy, but relaxing. Fun, and easy, but a little complicated, too. Maybe if he'd found this early on, he wouldn't have ever been a lawyer.
