Now that really did take Lucifer by surprise. They were all essentially immortal now? What had the aliens done to cause that? Or did they maybe have a way to reverse the impacts of life and years?
Interesting.
"I would guess so." He nodded. Never aging. It wasn't a thing he personally had to worry about. And never would. "You keep saying she. Was it obviously female or something?"
He was quite glad that he'd decided to talk to Mary. There were actually things that he didn't know, and couldn't know, coming out of her. She was evasive on some matters, that was to be expected. It was necessary to be careful in the face of a complete stranger. He would have to find a way to prove himself if he wanted more. Prove that he wasn't there to harm anybody.
And it wasn't untrue. He had no plans to cause anybody hurt. Not right now. He was just settling in, he couldn't jump on it and risk losing out on a greater fun.
Of course, there was going to be a problem if he wasn't the only one of his kind walking around, or if there were things among them that weren't human and could detect when there was strange blood nearby.
"To sum it up, so far, I've been abducted by aliens and I'm going to live forever. That's some shit to take in."
