There was a little shiver of discomfort as Mary turned her back on Lucas. She didn't know what to attribute it to, and she didn't dismiss it out of hand, but she wondered if perhaps she was being paranoid. For now, she shrugged it off and made her way to the bar. Once there, she leaned over it ever so flirtatiously and gave Johnny a huge smile.
"Could you get me some Wiltshire Brandy on the rocks, sweetie?"
She didn't mind playing the role of starry eyed newlywed. It was almost like an inside joke between the two of them.
"Actually, if you could pour another round of drinks for the rest of my tables too, that would be great."
She leaned in a little further and glanced around to make sure that no one else was listening.
"The guy that just came in says he's new around here and offered to buy drinks for all of my tables if I'd sit with him and give him some information on this place."
She just hoped that she didn't need to elaborate more on what she believed 'new' meant.
