"I can't promise to protect you." Olivia didn't say this to insult Eva; it was a simple statement. She was dressed as a soldier, even if she was more an auxiliary type than anything, but she didn't have half of what she normally carried as an FBI agent. Finally the agent stood and looked down at her current companion.
"You can come along, as long as you understand that." She didn't like it. She didn't like having an unknown along, but she couldn't just leave the young woman. That didn't seem right.
"Two sets of eyes are better than one." Perhaps she was talking to herself more than Eva. Olivia might have become used to a science type along for the ride, and Eva was a scientist, even if not fringe science.
