Johnny pried away from Mary to have a look through the small space. He had hoped that this might be one of those sitcom environments where there were two beds. Two beds for one bachelor didn't really make sense, but he'd not exactly been hoping off of logic with that one.
Standing in the living room, looking at the couch and the mismatched chair, he sighed.
"Harry said it was ugly. I guess I didn't expect it to be that bad, considering we can't see color. The fact that I know it's checkered and has some kind of faux Victorian theme going on as well makes me really glad that I can't tell if it's orange and green to boot." He looked at Mary. "You're going to have to fight me for the couch, I hope you know that."
She could try to force him to take the bed, but he knew already that she'd always wake up in it if she fell asleep anywhere else.
"I'm going to go grab my bike. Do you want to come with, or stay here?"
