His wife? Mary was silent for a moment, a little stunned at the introduction. They probably should have discussed a backstory before this. She hadn't even given a thought to the fact that a man and a woman didn't generally travel together unless they were married or related. She supposed that husband and wife was a better cover story than brother and sister.
Once she got over the surprise of being introduced as Johnny's wife, she put on a charming smile and jumped in to rescue him from the last name problem. She briefly considered giving the name Winchester, but since that was the name of a gun brand, she was pretty sure they might get some funny looks.
"Blaine," she interjected. "Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Blaine." She didn't have to work all that hard at the fond smile she gave Johnny, though she did aim more for the starry eyed look than anything before she turned her attention back to the boss.
"We just got married. My parents didn't approve. Wanted me to marry a richer man. But you can't help who you fall in love with, right?"
She just had to hope that the bar owner was a romantic.
