"Ava fucking Gardner." He shook his head. He was getting the theme here, he thought, though he had no idea what the reasoning would be. Johnny didn't think that wandering up and asking somebody about it would be in their best interests, either. That was something that they should know. It would out them faster than the bike.
He moved to the bike and waited for her to hop on behind him, he'd have to drive a bit more carefully, since Mary would need one hand to hold their groceries. There were more glares as he started it up, and another loud declaration of it being an import, then Johnny was angled in the direction of the park.
Instead of just stopping and parking the bike as soon as it came into view, Johnny circled the whole thing twice, keeping as good a lookout as he could for a place the two of them could temporarily call home. He waited until Mary tapped him on the shoulder and pointed to a spot before he slowed their speed and found a place to park.
Johnny was pretty confident that nobody was going to mess with his motorcycle. They were all too confused by it to fuck with it.
"Home sweet home." He said, looking at the gazebo Mary had spotted.
