Evan did his best to not look astonished at who answered the door, giving his best smile to the guy and wandering inside. That was one man that Evan was very sure he never wanted to anger.
He made sure that Niks and Sabev were right behind him, and then scanned the room for faces that he knew. There was one in particular, of course. But he caught a couple of them.
Mary was here, and that was good. Max. Johnny. And there was Jack. Even Mikey was there, sitting on a couch. Evan knew that it had to be him, just by the posture and the fact that the cat wasn't freaked out by the large group. All present and accounted for. It helped him relax. Evan noticed the pair that Johnny was talking to and tried to size them up, they all kept looking at the man Mary was speaking with, but it was impossible to read the situation.
The one person that Evan didn't see was the one person he didn't give a shit about seeing. The fairy wasn't in the mess of people. Given that he was sure that Niks' scent was all over him, Evan was glad for it. He had a feeling that the librarian wouldn't be, though.
Evan moved himself toward the food that was laid out, not really one to say no to free nibbles.
