Max did indeed shake Rob's hand. It was a strong shake on either end, and the private detective was happy to see that Piotr had made a friend. He doubted this was the person Piotr had been looking for mainly because he believed the Russian had been looking for a woman. Rob was certainly not a woman; attractive, sure, but no woman.
"Rob, this is Kai. Have to say, you do clean up nicely." He gave the dark haired warrioress a knowing smile before turning his attention to the crowd. He hadn't seen the one person he'd been wanting to see. Sure, there was...
"I'll be damned." He didn't sound angry, so much as surprised. That wasn't a face he thought he'd see here. If he only knew that Rob knew the face too, well, that would have made things even more interesting. Instead, he looked from the vigilante cowboy to the man with no last name and the woman who had an affinity for getting covered in creepy thing goo.
Or that was the plan. He did a double take when he thought he saw a certain flash of red hair, and the smile was definitely genuine when he saw that it was attached to a familiar face. He raised his hand to return the wave to one of his favorite "crazy" people.
