Wow. Sympathy really was from the past. Jo still wasn't sure what to make of the woman, but it was a little bit of a trip to hear the babble about all of the different things she'd encountered.
She also wasn't sure about the sense of almost... camaraderie? there, but she was going to go with it for now. Maybe there was a little part of her that thought it might be good to let Dean stew and wonder what they were talking about, assuming that he saw them talking.
"You're going to have to try biscuits and gravy for breakfast if you can find them," she said, her southern preferences showing just a bit.
She gestured to a few of the things on the table, giving Sympathy the name for each thing since she'd expressed a desire to know what they were called.
"Do you know anyone else here?" she asked, trying not to think about how tough it would be to wake up in the wrong time and know absolutely no one.
