Noting the fact that Anna too was silent, he watched the path of her eyes for several moments, realizing what she was doing. It had its place, of course. If something were to happen, it was always advantageous to have an understanding of one's environment and exactly where everything happened to be, but if she were uncomfortable, he knew it was at least partially his duty to reassure her. Though he had no desire to label her emotions when he couldn't do so with his own.
Turning his head towards hers, he looked around and spoke into her ear, only loud enough for her to hear him. It would have been easier to send the thought directly into her mind, but obviously that was no longer an option. "The ones I recognize are friendly," he pointed out. "Which ironically includes the vampire, but I've also spoken with the man who called this meeting. He's a good man."
Cas felt that was something of an understatement at the very least - Piotr had assisted him in blowing up a convenience store to neutralize a threat. That counted for much as far as he was concerned.
