Mary didn't know what exactly to think about the idea that Johnny had been looking for her more than Jo or anyone else. She was partially glad about that and partially just angry-whether with him or with herself for overanalyzing things.
She hadn't had a car since she'd been dropped into the past so it hadn't really occurred for her to do anything but walk. She did frown at the idea that Johnny's bike might have been left behind. She knew what that bike meant to him and she knew how she'd feel if she were in his shoes.
"Did you check the garage attached to the house that you woke up in?"
She was having a hard time calling it his house. Then again, she wasn't exactly referring to the house that they'd just left as her house either. None of the houses here belonged to their occupants. They were just places that they'd all been dumped. Mary was still wondering and worrying about the why behind that.
