That earned a laugh from Mary. And a little bit of a skeptical look. Was he really still on the whole Evan thing?
"Studly McHandsomepants? Do I need to leave you two alone when Evan comes home?"
She led the way out the door, glad that he was ready to go now. Walking and the prospect of explaining some of the things and peopled she'd run into helped keep her mind off the direction the conversation had veered, and off the hurt that had come with Johnny confirming that he hadn't promised her anything. It wasn't that she was expecting him to suddenly say differently, but maybe there'd been a little glimmer of hope with that conversation? Maybe.
No, she was definitely going to keep her mind off of it.
"He's a former angel, apparently. His name is Castiel. He's an angel in my timeline and my reality, but he's from a different reality where something happened and he's human now. As for the other potential roommate, she just showed up yesterday. Castiel had a girlfriend in his reality but he lost her. And apparently found her again."
It was a mouthful and she wouldn't have blamed him for having questions. Or for simply getting stuck at 'what the fuck?'
And she hadn't even gotten to the weirdest of her encounters yet. Rob was a story for once he'd wrapped his head around Castiel and Anna.
