Locked Out Of Heaven For Too Long (Anna)
(Warning for adult content)
Since his encounter with Piotr, Cas felt there should have been some form of lesson to learn. It had not escaped him that it was dangerous outside and that there were things that could potentially damage him. Primarily the undead rabbits, which...despite his affinity for the living variety, it was decidedly difficult to nail so many of these rabbits to the bottoms of coffins and bury them. He'd been exploring alternative means, but thus far, the only truly useful weapon was that of his blade.
Unable to sleep, he'd gone out once again. He still had yet to find Dean. And while Mary was likely already annoyed with his tendency of returning to the house just before dawn, he required the combat to remain focused. Remaining stagnant was still something he seemed incapable of managing...so in the face of doing that or tackling an undead rabbit to a lawn of one of the many houses, it seemed he was content with the rabbit.
He raised the blade and jammed it directly into the chest of the creature. The squeal made him cringe, which was new. Angels had no sense of reaction to such sounds and were indifferent to the act of slaughtering animals either for food or for mercy, yet his humanity had caused him to think on the matter differently. Thinking back to the kitten he'd once adopted...he decided he disliked the idea of any harm coming to animals, even if in this instance it was necessary.
Yet, as he sliced his way through the creature's chest, he was entirely unmindful of the mass that blindsided him from the left. It knocked him to the ground, sending his blade to roll off to the side and pinned him on his back - whether it was a very large rabbit or duck, it was too dark to see. Yet he used all of his strength to keep it from bearing down on him. Needing both hands, he was unable to reach for his weapon...and suddenly, he felt it would have been all right to regret his decision to hunt that evening.
