It had been unnecessary, but at the time, both Joshua and Anna could have said anything to him and he would have believed it without question. He'd admired both of them for different reasons. Anna for her strength and Joshua for his wisdom. He doubted he'd been able to do Joshua proud, but at least Anna had seen it fit to choose him as her mate.
Crossing the street to the bar, Cas shook his head. "This is all largely dependent on what you believe. There are those who opt not to enter Heaven, though...not being able to find those souls is somewhat problematic."
He wasn't about to delve into the nature of vengeful spirits and ghosts who'd lost their way. That always ended the same way and he had no desire to see that become of Piotr. Cas felt he was a good man. And that was enough to justify drinking with him.
