Somewhat impressed that she had lockpicks, he followed after her without much question. He figured if she got greedy, then she would be the one at a disadvantage. Having already lost a sufficient amount of blood on one bad hunt, he was confident he could still fight without losing consciousness. Given its weaknesses, a human vessel was still surprisingly durable.
"Most of my thoughts and memories are in Enochian," he explained. "I have a distinct sense that you are without a doubt old, but unless you understand the language, it is very dangerous. Very unstable. Mispronunciations have caused flash fires and floods. Unless of course you somehow gain the memories of my human vessel. In which case...I see no harm. He's no longer with us."
It was not that Cas had no remorse regarding Jimmy. The day he'd fallen silent had been difficult, but at the time, he'd had no time to mourn the loss. Ever since then, he'd just never seemed to find the time to. As for gaining memories of him and Anna, well...there was little concern. Anna was formidable, human or not. And he very much doubted he would ever see her again.
Once inside the lab, he pulled a small flashlight from inside his jacket and shined it around, examining the blood closely. The color was at least hemoglobin and oxygen-based, like the human variety, but that was by sight alone. There was no telling if it would agree with her system or not. "Can you see it at the sub-atomic level?" he asked curiously.
It was among the many abilities he missed having. Not being able to see things as clearly often led to him making mistakes. And he'd already grown tired of those?
