The word rolled around in Evan's head. Right now it had jagged edges, but he was sure things would round out and he'd get used to it just like he'd gotten used to being a wolf in the first place.
However, his world seemed to come to a complete stop at the idea of the three of them in bed together. Him, Jack, Niks. Together. A hand reached out for Aaron so he could steady himself. His heart was both frightened and intrigued by the implications. Not only of that, but of the idea that he swapped easily between Jack and Niks and neither one had much of a care about it, except for occasionally Niks. Which he could see. His mind tried to mash together experiences he'd had with both ladies so that he could play it all out right now mentally, but it just couldn't. It was so unbelievable.
So while Evan really wanted to concentrate on and get used to the idea of being alpha, his thoughts kept turning to the idea of the women and himself. Together.
"Oh, dear god." He whispered. There might have been a hint of smile. His eyes might have been wide with that fear, too. Oddly, he focused on something else that Aaron had said. When he made his reply, it wasn't a follow up to what he'd said first, and he said it with conviction, because Niks herself had told him. She couldn't have lied even if she wasn't faekin. "Fae can't bespell werewolves."
