Max nodded slightly at the explanation. He didn't even bother with making assumptions, or at least he tried not to. He nodded again, letting the information sink in as he usually did. He was the sort to just let things stew; it always seemed to work for the fictional sort of p.i.
"Can't say magics my forte. Actually, can't say I believed in it much until recently. Aliens aside. Oh, I knew there were things outside me and the norm, but didn't know I'd ever really get involved with it." Not until Johnny and the kid. He gave a slight smirk at the idea of it all. Then the aliens had whisked him away to an adventure he'd never really asked for. He would have been happy as a professor at some little college. Or that's what he told himself some days. Other days he knew he'd get bored at the college and need something more. He'd seen too much to be really happy with that much quiet, even if he thought he had found his bliss a few planets ago.
"You know. I met someone that might be a little on the magical side. He was giving off a not so normal vibe." Max gave a soft chuckle at that. "Anyway, I guess we deal with the magical types when we come in contact."
