The librarian followed, fingers tightening on Simon's as she came to a pause right beside him. Simon wasn't afraid, and she supposed she shouldn't be either. She was certainly nervous; whether the fairies may accept her through her connection to the Dreamlands or not, she was a little nervous that they would treat her as a second class citizen of some sort.
Niks took a deep, slow breath and closed her eyes. Her senses may not be that of the creature beside her or the creature she seemed to be connected to. Yet, she had senses more heightened than the average human. The air was so very crisp, and there was a sweet scent on the light breeze. She didn't know what it was, but it felt like home. She squeezed his hand again.
"Oh," a soft sound was all she made as she opened her eyes. It was more than beautiful. It was just right somehow. It was as it should be. This was what she dreamt about before she knew what she was dreaming about. Or perhaps she always knew; she'd grown up in the other world, the one in the shadows, the one most people preferred to ignore.
She pressed into the fairy's side and stretched a little to press a kiss to his cheek. "It's more than words."
