Niks kissed the top of Simon's head. Her poor fairy. Her poor poor fairy. She wanted to keep him here, in this bed, away from those mean things that had turned him away. She wanted to keep him here until they were on a new planet, so that he might believe it was all some sad dream. He wouldn't have to know that the aliens had managed something he couldn't.
"Should we find our way out there then?" She wanted to protect him, but she wasn't sure that keeping him away from the outside was wise. She didn't know if letting him interact with the world that should have been his was all that wise either. She combed her fingers through his hair a few more times before sliding her hands down to just hold him to her.
"We'll do whatever you want." It seemed the safest way to go; let him choose what he wanted. He might get angry with her later, but for now, it was all on him and what he wanted to do. She would back him in any of it.
