Laurel knew that face on Roy. That was a face he made when he was deeply enjoying something. She smirked a little, because she did like that expression. Particularly when she was the one to coax it from him. And she was glad that she wasn't the only one who thought that the food here was delicious, even the simple dishes.
"If they have chocolate, I want to try it."
She leaned into Roy as they ate. It was only once she'd had her fill that she gave voice to the thoughts pooling in her mind.
"So we know that we're someplace that has some of the best food I've ever had. And we woke up in a house just the two of us. Which is weird, because we've usually had our own living quarters for the last few places. Right?' She frowned, trying not to think about the stop that she'd missed.
