"Pony rides?" Betsy raised an eyebrow, then lifted an eyelid as she turned to look back at him. She couldn't imagine Sam.. no, wait. There it was. It put a little smirk into her smile. She didn't imagine he'd actually done it, but that didn't stop her brain from placing one of the little Christmas carol singing creatures on his back while he pranced around.
The sound of Sam's disappointment leveled out the jealousy. Betsy liked to be appreciated, and she liked to be wanted. She also didn't really like the idea of feeling jealous over something that wasn't precisely hers. It had made sense with Brian, who was her twin. This was new. Strange. The idea behind it wasn't unwelcome, but the feeling of it was.
"Eventually." Betsy turned more so that she was flat on her back, looking up at the sky. Her movement had revealed their little picnic spot to her. She also looked down at her dress. "Oh, hey. I like it too."
Her hand was still holding onto his arms, and she nestled her other one around one of his hands, inviting more touching, informing that she was okay with it.
