That made Simon laugh. Interesting was such a tame word for what fairies were. Difficult, incorrigible, beautiful, terrifying, he'd heard many things, but interesting wasn't really among them. It wasn't untrue, to be sure. Fairies were very interesting creatures, just so many other things generally came to the minds of those trying to describe.
"I would be more apt to make them into shields than trust them with my life." He shook his head. "Their magic is nothing compared to mine. Tossing them at my enemies would do more damage, or at least provide a distraction."
He laughed again at the approaching Christmas elf. They were going to torment the poor shifter until they were off the planet, he was sure. It was enough entertainment to please Simon.
"You, elves. You leave this man alone, or you'll have to deal with my wrath." He lifted an eyebrow as he said it, and the message clearly got through. There. He'd helped. Of course, he was just undoing the damage that he, himself, had done, but it counted.
