The snow made all the outside noises go away. Only the sounds of the cabin and the two people within hit his ears. It was very peaceful. Peaceful in a way that he never thought he'd experience again. Certainly not while they were all kidnapped by aliens.
"We're here now." He agreed. Johnny wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer to him. He was half laying on the couch now, Mary cradled somewhat in his lap.
They'd not turned on the television, and that was okay. Johnny thought he'd rather sit here and listen to Mary's heartbeat. The sound of her breathing. He also thought that if they fell asleep like this, it would not be a wasted moment.
He only hoped that if they did, they woke up together still.
